Important note for short-term visits of wife/husband/partner
Some participants would like to bring a “+1” (wife, husband, or partner) for a few weeks. This is possible. The BUT dorms require payment for the stay of any additional person.
Price: 940 CZK per night per "+1" person (~38.2 EUR or ~42.8 USD, depending on exchange rates). Payment can be made by card at the front desk. The fee is charged per night, so your "+1" will only pay for the number of nights they actually stay.
hope it helps
Radim
Hi Radim and Renata,I met with the team leaders at 10:30 today, and a few things came up that would benefit from your help.
- Personal information form: Please let the team leaders know if someone from their team hasn't yet provided you the personal information form. They will help you chase them down.
- Steering committee mailing list: Please add Samuele, Santosh and Fethi to the list; the respective team leaders rely on them for organizational help.
- Personal liability insurance: many participants are unfamiliar with this. Would it be possible to post a link to one or two possible suggestions? E.g. links to a couple of companies that offer such insurance, and perhaps to specific policies whose coverage will meet the minimum coverage requirement.
- Lodging costs for companions/spouses: Please clarify on the Google Doc whether those who plan to have a companion or spouse visit for a portion of JSALT must pay only for only the days of the visit, for full weeks in which they visit (i.e. minimum stay is 1 week), or their entire stay of 6 or 8 weeks. Some participants think it can only be the full 6-8 weeks, which feels high for much shorter visits.
If these questions/request don't make sense to you, please let me know and I'll provide more context. Call me on WhatsApp +1-443-858-9052.Cheers.Sanjeev
